- Length of Program: Three weeks (June 2-22, 2025)
- Living Arrangements: students will stay in on-campus dorm accommodations
- Course: Cross Cultural Teaching and Learning (TCH 110) and Child Growth and Development (TCH 210)-Students will received 50 observation hours

Study Abroad Scholarships
College of Education
COE Study Abroad Scholarships for spring, summer, and fall 2024 have been awarded. The application for 2025 COE Study Abroad scholarships (funding travel for spring, summer, and fall 2025) will open in November 2024.
There is a single application for all three scholarships. You can view eligibility requirements and application questions for all three scholarships below.

University
The Hoon Mok Chung Undergraduate Scholarship is for undergraduate students who are preparing to study abroad in Asia, the Middle East, or South America. Candidates must be enrolled and in good standing, be a junior or senior at the time the award is given, have earned at least 30 credits at Illinois State, have a major GPA of 3.5 or higher, and demonstrate financial need. Students participating in a study abroad program during the summer must apply by March 1.
Visit Scholarships on the Illinois State Study Abroad site for more options, including the OISP Study Abroad Travel Award and University Professional Development Grant. Note that OISP offers need-based scholarships each semester.

- AFIS (American Institute for Foreign Study) - Scholarships for those who go through them to study abroad
- Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship - $5000 per semester or academic year for students currently receiving federal Pell Grants.
- Boren Scholarships Program - for undergraduate or graduate study in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America - from Institute of International Education (due February)
- BUTEX North American Scholarships - for semester in UK - Eastbourne student teaching students would be eligible.
- FinAid.com Scholarships - Financial Aid and Scholarships for Study Abroad
- Freeman-ASIA - for students going to Asia
- GoAbroad Scholarship Search - $1000 Scholarships are awarded each year based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions.
