Illinois State offers 41 accredited professional educator programs, including 28 undergraduate education programs. K-12 and secondary education programs are housed within 4 colleges across campus. Degree Requirements

The undergraduate course catalog is the source of information for all degree requirement for your degree.

Professional Education Sequence

It is required that students progress through the Professional Education Sequence in the following order. TCH 212, 216, and 219 must be taken sequentially and cannot be taken at the same time.

TCH Override Policy

Students are expected to register on time for classes in the sequence recommended by their academic advisor. If an override into an undergraduate TCH course is needed, submit a Course Permit Request form in My.IllinoisState.edu.

  • During advanced registration: Course permissions will be given weekly, space permitting, giving priority to upperclassmen.
  • First week of classes: Course permissions will be given upon receipt, space permitting.
  • Second week of classes: Course permissions will not be given.
